#UandMeAgainstDengue - An Initiative by Mortein NaturGard

What is Dengue? Dengue (pronounced den' gee) is a mosquito-borne viral infection causing a severe flu-like illness and, sometimes causing a potentially lethal complication called severe dengue. The viruses are transmitted to humans by the bite of an infected mosquito (Aedes aegypti). The Aedes aegypti mosquito is the vector of dengue/DHF. It is estimated that there are over 400 million cases of Dengue worldwide now estimated to occur annually in over 100 endemic countries, putting almost half of the world’s population at risk*. To get to the heart of the problem, Mortein has also taken the fight to educate school kids about Dengue. Mortein is undertaking activities in 160 schools and 120 RWAs across 6 cities in India.
